Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
1. Overview
MDWorkLab ("we", "us", "our") operates the website mdworklab.com and the free online Markdown editor at /editor. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
2. Your Markdown Content
We do not collect or store your documents. The Markdown editor saves your drafts locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or download a file. We have no access to your writing.
3. Information We May Collect
- Usage analytics — We may use lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to understand page visits and improve the site. No personal identification is required.
- Server logs — Our hosting provider may log standard request data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance.
- Cookies — See Section 4 below.
4. Cookies & Google Ads
When Google AdSense is enabled on our marketing pages (homepage, blog, about), Google and its partners may use cookies to serve personalized advertisements based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visit history.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to mdworklab.com and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Alternatively, visit aboutads.info to opt out of third-party cookies for personalized ads.
The editor page (/editor) does not display ads and does not load Google AdSense scripts.
5. GDPR (European Users)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we do not store your Markdown content on our servers, most requests relate to analytics or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use our cookie consent banner when shown.
6. Children's Privacy
MDWorkLab is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
